Description
Available for purchase is a collectible custom-made knife made by well-known knifemaker Chuck Gedraitis. This knife is a linerlock folder that has a Damascus steel Wharnecliffe style blade with a fileworked thumbstud. I believe the Damascus pattern is Daryl Meier Turkish twist. The bolsters and butt are also Damascus steel. The handle has green bone scales (most likely fossilized bone) and fileworked liners. The stainless steel backbar is beautifully fileworked with bone inlays.
Overall length of the knife is 6 1/2″ and the blade length is approximately 2 3/4″. Closed length is 3 11/16″. I purchased this knife at a recent estate sale, along with numerous other custom-made knives (please see my other listings). I’m including a padded storage case but there is no sheath.
Chuck Gedraitis is a knife maker and designer from Massachusetts. He has been fascinated with knives as long as he can remember and began to seriously make knives when he was just 16 years old. He has now been making knives for over 25 years, concentrating on making one-of-a-kind folding knives of his own design, but occasionally making a few fixed blades. He mainly uses Damascus steel and specializes in unique file work patterns. His knives bear a logo of seashells housing his initials “CJG”. He has won many best in show awards for his custom folding knives and plans to concentrate on making elaborate automatic knives in the future.
Condition of this Chuck Gedraitis linerlock is EXCELLENT. The knife is completely undamaged and was well cared for. This knife displays beautifully and would make a fine addition to any collection. Please take a close look at the many photos I’ve provided and judge condition for yourself. I’m confident you’ll be very pleased with this purchase.
